Volleyball Recap: Washington Beats North Knox for Their Third Straight Victory

Washington had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the North Knox Warriors by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Hatchets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Washington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 27-25, 25-16, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Kennedy Barnard, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Barnard wasn't the only good server: Washington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Washington's record now sits at 3-0. As for North Knox, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Washington will face off against Sullivan at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Knox, they will challenge Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
