Baseball Recap: Jesuit Takes a Loss

Jesuit was the 3-2 winner over Rocklin when they last played one another back in May of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Marauders fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 4-3 on Monday.

Owen Page was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Cade Colombara was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Rocklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

While Jesuit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
