Volleyball Recap: East Lawrence Comes Up Short

East Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Arab Knights.

East Lawrence was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22.

Lauren Garner paced East Lawrence's offense, picking up six kills. Garner got some help from Cheyenne Hackett and her 11 assists. Garner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

East Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Arab, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Coming up, East Lawrence will be playing at home against Hatton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Arab, they will face off against Buckhorn at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
