Weston Ranch and Edison are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Cougars will take on the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Weston Ranch turned things around against Franklin on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. The Cougars not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 10th (when they won 3-0).

Weston Ranch was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Edison got the win against Bear Creek on Monday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won four in a row.

Edison never let Bear Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 28-26, 25-16.

Weston Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Edison, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Weston Ranch might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Edison in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
