Garden Plain waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 60-54 W against the Rose Hill Rockets. That's two games straight that the Owls have won by exactly six points.

Despite the loss, Rose Hill still got an impressive performance from Zander Ford, who shot 44% from the field en route to 22 points and four steals. Ford is becoming a predictor of the Rockets' success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 2-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Nick Bentley was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Garden Plain's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Rose Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Garden Plain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Andale on the 22nd. As for Rose Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-51 loss against Lawrence on the 22nd.
