High school volleyball: Every team that has appeared in the final MaxPreps Top 25 since 2009

Archbishop Mitty, Assumption lead list of schools that have earned a spot in the final rankings over the past 16 years.

MaxPreps crowned its first high school girls volleyball national champion in 2009 after Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) went 39-0 and capped its season with a state title, the second straight for the Monarchs. 

Since that time, over 200 schools in 39 states have etched their place in history by earning a spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25 rankings. See the complete list below.

Mitty and Assumption (Louisville, Ky.) lead the way with MaxPreps Top 25 finishes with nine in 16 years. The Monarchs were crowned national champions in 2009 while the Rockets earned that distinction in 2018.




Two-time national champion Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.) has finished ranked five times, including its 2010 and 2011 titles. Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, N.C.), Lovejoy (Lucas, Texas), St. James Academy (Lenexa, Kan.) and Ursuline Academy (Cincinnati, Ohio) also have ended ranked five times.
