Recap: Twin Loup Wolves vs. Stuart Broncos
The Twin Loup Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 51-35 bruising from Stuart. While losing is never fun, Twin Loup can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Stuart is ranked 71st).
Despite the defeat, Twin Loup had strong showings from Cassidy Grint, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Ragan Mauler, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grint has scored all season.
Twin Loup has fallen quite a ways from their 17-8 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Stuart, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Twin Loup won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Brady at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Brady focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. Stuart won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cody-Kilgore at 4:15 p.m. on December 9th.
