Softball Recap: Legacy School of Sport Sciences Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Legacy School of Sport Sciences came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let Varsity Opponent get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 0-0 victory last Tuesday.

Kailana Villanueva made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February.

In other batting news, Carolyn Jiminez was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Arredondo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Legacy School of Sport Sciences was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .722. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
