             Columbia won the last time they faced Brookside, and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Columbia Raiders narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Brookside Cardinals  3-2.
 Columbia was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 25-27, 25-16,  15-8.
 Among those leading the charge was   Nikki Corrigan, who  had 12  digs.
 Columbia  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces in seven consecutive  matchups.
 Columbia's win was  their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Brookside,  the  loss snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 8-9 record.
 Columbia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  defeat against Holy Name on the 27th. As for Brookside, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  3-0  victory against Lake Ridge Academy on the 28th.
