Football Recap: St. Joseph-Ogden Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 51 points the game before, St. Joseph-Ogden was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a 40-10 loss at the hands of the Tolono Unity Rockets. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Kodey McKinney threw for 93 yards and one TD. Kaden Wedig was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards.

Tolono Unity had a senior duo take command as Dane Eisenmenger threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns and Tre Hoggard gained 158 total yards and two touchdowns. Hoggard's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Crewe Eckstein helped Eisenmenger out on the ground, rushing for 145 yards and a pair of scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Joseph-Ogden fell to 3-1. As for Tolono Unity, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

St. Joseph-Ogden has already played their next matchup, a 56-21 victory against Rantoul on the 26th. As for Tolono Unity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 47-7 win against Pontiac on the 26th.
