Football Recap: West Field Comes Up Short

West Field dropped to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They were outmatched by the Box Elder Bees and fell 39-12. The Longhorns were down 29-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Easton Eilertson threw for 240 yards and one TD. Kolt Abbott was his top target, picking up 103 receiving yards. On the ground, Caden Judy rushed for 30 yards.

As for Box Elder, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Considering they have won five contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Judd Howells had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 134 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 49 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards.

Coming up, West Field will look to defend their home field on Friday against Viewmont at 6:00 p.m. The Longhorns will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.9 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Box Elder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
