Baseball Recap: Camp Hill Wins Going Away Against Milton Hershey

Camp Hill got themselves on the board against Milton Hershey on Wednesday, but Milton Hershey never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Spartans. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Jonathan Drawbaugh made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Camp Hill: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 4-6 otherwise. Drawbaugh was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Kirchhoff, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Branstetter was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Camp Hill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
