Baseball Recap: Cabrini Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Cabrini hadn't done well against Our Lady of the Lakes recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Monarchs never let the Lakers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Monarchs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Noah Roman was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Hughes, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Cabrini's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average this season. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lakers beat Cabrini by a score of 9-8 later that day.
