Baseball Recap: ConVal Victorious

ConVal never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Sanborn Regional Indians 11-0. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Isaac Clough made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Clough was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Anthony Gutwein was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs. Another player making a difference was Grayson Yergeau, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

ConVal's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sanborn Regional, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
