Basketball Game Preview: Belmont Red Raiders vs. Raymond Rams

The Belmont Red Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Raymond Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Belmont knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Raymond likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Belmont took their game with ease, bagging a 59-21 victory over Inter-Lakes. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Raymond didn't have too much trouble with Winnisquam on Tuesday as they won 56-42.

Raymond has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Belmont, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Everything came up roses for Belmont against Raymond in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 76-40 victory. Does Belmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Raymond turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
