Putnam let Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts stack five runs on them in the seventh inning on Friday but luckily Putnam prevailed anyway. The Kingsmen walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Mustangs. The win was familiar territory for the Kingsmen, who have now won six games in a row.

Ben Boman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Putnam: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 11-13 otherwise. Boman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Ian Pollard was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Dexter Berge was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Putnam hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.

Putnam now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Putnam nor Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts have any future games scheduled.
