Soccer Game Preview: Jacksonville vs. Marshall

The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians will head out to square off against the Marshall Mavericks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Jacksonville is headed into the game without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They and Mt. Pleasant finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Marshall has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 7. They came up short against Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 620th, while the Tigers are ranked 21st).

With that draw, Jacksonville's record moves to 9-0-3. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
