Baseball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Gilbert Classical Academy fell victim to San Tan Charter and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Roadrunners, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roadrunners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Gilbert Classical Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Fioresi, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Gilbert Classical Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season. As for San Tan Charter, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Gilbert Classical Academy will be playing at home against Superior at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for San Tan Charter, they are taking a road trip to take on Miami at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Roadrunners are facing the Vandals at the right time seeing as the Vandals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
