Volleyball Recap: Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Wins Going Away Against Neligh-Oakdale

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Holt, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

Kaylee Thiele went supernova, getting 20 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Sara Hemenway also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s win bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 19 of their last 21 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Plainview on the 21st. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hartington-Newcastle at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
