Volleyball Recap: Gordon Central Falls Despite Big Games from Shelby Bodiford and Ciara Borne + How To Watch

Gordon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Woodland Wildcats. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Gordon Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Woodland's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-23.

Gordon Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ciara Borne, who had 24 digs and one assist, and Shelby Bodiford, who had 13 digs.

Gordon Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Woodland, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Gordon Central will face off against Rome at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodland, they will square off against Chattooga at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
