Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tomales). They took down the Calistoga Wildcats 51-36 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on four straight.
Andrew Lomeli threw for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Wyatt Cornett was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Ivan Gonzalez rushed for 229 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.2 yards per carry.
Tomales' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Calistoga, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Coming up, Tomales will welcome Elsie Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calistoga, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Potter Valley at 6:00 p.m. on October 17.
