Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Blake Peterson and Jacob Driver Lead Marbury to Victory

Marbury came into Saturday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Booker T. Washington Magnet Yellow Jackets 66-41 on Saturday. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 56-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Yellow Jackets cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Marbury to victory were Jacob Driver and Blake Peterson. Driver posted 17 points, while Peterson had 13 points. The dominant performance gave Peterson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Brown, who earned nine points.

Marbury's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marbury will host Autaugaville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Marbury is facing Autaugaville at the right time seeing as Autaugaville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against LAMP at 7:00 p.m. Booker T. Washington Magnet will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: LAMP will have lost three straight heading into Monday's match.
