Baseball Recap: Mountain View Spartans vs. Prospect Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sequoia, Mountain View was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Prospect Panthers as they made off with an 11-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Brennan Dooley tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025.

At the plate, Zander Yocum was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
