Los Altos hadn't done well against Los Gatos recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Los Altos had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Evelyn Zhang and Mila Wong, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Angela Deng and her 24 assists. Katlyn King controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Los Altos' victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Los Gatos, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Altos will square off against Homestead at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Gatos, after both having extra time off, they and Monta Vista will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
