Baseball Recap: Andrews Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hayesville, Andrews was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Robbinsville Black Knights 11-9. Considering the Wildcats' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Logan Shular was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Kelby Waldroup was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Andrews' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Robbinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Robbinsville beat Andrews by a score of 7-6 on Friday.
