Recap: Green Level Gators vs. Apex Friendship Patriots
The Green Level Gators put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 64-57 victory over Apex Friendship. Given Green Level's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Apex Friendship is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isaac Ericksen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tye Cain, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Green Level pushed their record up to 17-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Apex Friendship, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Level will take on Apex at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Apex has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27. As for Apex Friendship, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Holly Springs and Apex Friendship are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
