Volleyball Recap: Flowing Wells' Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Flowing Wells's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pueblo Warriors. For the Caballeros, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 16-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Maya Martinez paced Flowing Wells' offense, picking up six kills. Martinez got some help from Rhyleigh Marshall and her 26 assists. Marshall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Pueblo lost, don't look at Emma Castillo. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Castillo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Isabella Carillo also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Flowing Wells' win ended a five-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Pueblo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Coming up, Flowing Wells will be playing in front of their home fans against Sahuarita at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pueblo, they will head out to square off against Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
