It was a good run, but D.C. Everest unfortunately witnessed the end of their 19-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Merrill Bluejays by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Evergreens were not able to get on the board.

D.C. Everest's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 19-4. As for Merrill, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

D.C. Everest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Neenah on the 24th. As for Merrill, they will take on Medford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
