Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Braden Plaisted and Edson Oliveira Da Silva Lead Celebration to Victory

Celebration's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They secured a 55-51 W over the Palmetto Ridge Bears. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Storm as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Celebration was led to victory by Edson Oliveira Da Silva and Braden Plaisted. Oliveira Da Silva went 6 for 10 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds, while Plaisted posted 13 points. The dominant performance also gave Plaisted a new career-high in boards (four). Joshua Miller was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Celebration was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmetto Ridge only racked up six assists.

Despite the loss, Palmetto Ridge still got an impressive performance from Jeriah Muldrow, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Williams, who put up eight points and three steals.

The win got Celebration back to even at 7-7. As for Palmetto Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Celebration wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-37 victory against Tohopekaliga on the 7th. As for Palmetto Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-58 win against Highlands Christian on the 1st.
