Volleyball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century suffered their biggest defeat since February 27th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Savanna Rebels, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost four in a row.

Century was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-17.

Savanna's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaedon Anderson, who had 26 assists and one block.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Savanna, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Century is set to take on their familiar foe Magnolia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Savanna will challenge rival Santiago at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
