Soccer Game Preview: Hathaway Brown vs. Highland

The Hathaway Brown Blazers will venture away from home to challenge the Highland Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Hathaway Brown is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against North Royalton on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. While losing is never fun, Hathaway Brown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while North Royalton are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Highland unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They and Magnificat finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw. The result kept Highland happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 6th.

Hathaway Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. Highland's draw gives them a new season record of 11-1-2.

Hathaway Brown might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Highland when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can the Blazers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
