Basketball Recap: Arizona Lutheran Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Heritage Academy last Monday, Arizona Lutheran Academy came back down to earth. The Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes lost 52-32 to the Fountain Hills Falcons on Wednesday. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Coyotes struggled afterwards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fountain Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taleigha Bonnaha, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Bonnaha is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Seilah Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

Arizona Lutheran Academy's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Fountain Hills, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

Arizona Lutheran Academy has already played their next contest, a 52-25 defeat against Phoenix Country Day on the 6th. As for Fountain Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-18 victory against Rancho Solano Prep on the 6th.
