Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Lancaster Eagles

There's no place like home for Eisenhower, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They skirted past Lancaster 9-8.

Eisenhower got a big performance out of John Wood, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Martinez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Eisenhower's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lancaster, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eisenhower will take on Fontana in a tournament on Saturday. Lancaster will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Canyon at 3:15 p.m. on March 5th.
