Volleyball Recap: John Marshall Gets the Win

John Marshall won the last time they faced East Fairmont and things went their way on Monday too. The Monarchs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bees.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: John Marshall took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12.

Addison Blake paced John Marshall's offense, picking up five kills. Blake were helped by Gianna Polsinelli and Sarah Hess, who contributed seven assists each. Polsinelli also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nia Miller, each putting up three.

John Marshall's win bumped their record up to 21-8-3. As for East Fairmont, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-39.

John Marshall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Weir on the 23rd. As for East Fairmont, after both having extra time off, they and Fairmont Senior will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th.
