Soccer Game Preview: Cornerstone Christian vs. St. Teresa

The Cornerstone Christian Cyclones will head out to challenge the St. Teresa Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cornerstone Christian is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Urbana University, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Cornerstone Christian were already down 4-0.

Meanwhile, St. Teresa has been on a difficult stretch since their win on April 17. They lost 7-0 to Sacred Heart-Griffin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, St. Teresa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Sacred Heart-Griffin are ranked 84th).

St. Teresa's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
