Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 5-1 to the Opelika Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 25-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Opelika, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Valley will take on Russell County at 4:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Opelika, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Montgomery Academy on the 28th.
