Big Game from Watson As East Surry Won 61-14
Starting off the list is East Surry's Troy Watson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Watson rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries.
East Surry now has a winning record of 3-2. Watson and East Surry will look to defend their home field on Friday against Forbush at 7:00 p.m.

A Season-Best Performance from Mason Jewell Leads Surry Central over West Wilkes
On Friday, Surry Central got the W thanks in part to Mason Jewell playing the best football he has all season. Jewell rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 74 yards.
The win (which was Surry Central's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Jewell and Surry Central will face off against North Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Fisher Leftwich Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Fisher Leftwich produced his most outstanding game to date while leading North Surry to the win on Friday. Leftwich picked up 184 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (101.6) per game. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
Unfortunately for North Wilkes, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Leftwich. Leftwich picked up 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in September of 2023.

Brian Williams Turns in Season-Best Performance
Surry Central was led to victory by Brian Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams picked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 83 yards.
On the season, Williams has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 35.8 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 26.17 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 51.67 rushing yards.
