There's no place like home for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Milford Bearcats on Tuesday as Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin made off with a 14-3 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hope Grissom spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin let Gentry Elson and Ella Acton run wild. Elson went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI, while Acton went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Elson has posted since back in April of 2024. Callan Carpenter also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's record is now 2-3. As for Milford, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will face off against Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milford, they will take on Grant Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
