Baseball Preview: Van Vandals vs. Canton Eagles
Van and Canton are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Vandals will head out to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Van will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Van nor Kaufman made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Vandals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 4-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Vandals have won by exactly four runs.

Alex Oreb looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
On the hitting side, Braiden Peyton was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Ammons, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Canton made easy work of Wills Point on Saturday and carried off an 18-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Van's record is now 17-13-1. As for Canton, their record now sits at 10-5.
