Volleyball Recap: Altamont Comes Up Short

If Altamont was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Manila on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Longhorns came up short against the Duchesne Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Longhorns in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Altamont was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-9.

Kate Lindsay paced Altamont's offense, picking up four kills. Lindsay got some help from Lauren Thacker and her eight assists. Hazlie Bagley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Altamont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Providence Hall on the 21st. Duchesne has also already played their next matchup (against Tabiona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
