Softball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short

Buffalo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-3 to the Minnetonka Skippers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 18-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Colette Oppegard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Bjorklund, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Buffalo has already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Maple Grove on the 15th. As for Minnetonka, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Eden Prairie at 4:30 p.m.
