Baseball Recap: Knippa Takes a Loss

If Knippa was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of Center Point on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knippa Crushers fell just short of the Medina Bobcats by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Crushers have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Knippa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole M, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Jackson S also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Knippa fell to 3-1. As for Medina, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Knippa will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Menard at 4:00 p.m. Knippa's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Menard's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Medina, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bobcats duke it out with the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
