Volleyball Recap: Larkin Comes Up Short

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the St. Edward Green Wave. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Larkin may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 13 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13.

Larkin's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for St. Edward, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Coming up, Larkin will take on Schaumburg Christian in a tournament on Saturday. As for St. Edward, they will take on Westmont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
