There's no place like home for Milton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Fort Atkinson Blackhawks on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Trey Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.

At the plate, Milton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Thompson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Milton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Atkinson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Milton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blackhawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
