Football Recap: Jamesville-Dewitt Starts Season with Win at Home

Jamesville-DeWitt gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights by a score of 35-27. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Gaelic Knights are ranked 235th).

Jamesville-DeWitt and Bishop Ludden will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Red Rams will challenge rival Oswego at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bishop Ludden is set to take on their familiar foe Skaneateles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
