Baseball Recap: Jay Takes a Loss

Jay fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against MacArthur on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Brahmas, falling 14-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Brahmas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in March.

Daniel Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with one home run. Adam Ruelas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Jay and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for MacArthur, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Jay has already played their next match, a 7-6 victory against Harlandale on the 18th. As for MacArthur, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Southside on the 18th.
