Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adams Central). They blew past the Maxwell Wildcats 18-3 on Thursday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Adams Central got a massive performance out of Parker Hodgen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Hodgen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Sughroue, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Adams Central's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Maxwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Adams Central and Maxwell will both be playing North Platte the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
