Softball Recap: St. George's Comes Up Short

After flying high against First Assembly Christian last Thursday, St. George came back down to earth. The Gryphons fell just short of the Evangelical Christian Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-6 back in March.

St. George's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Evangelical Christian, their record is now 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. George's will host Northpoint Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Gryphons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Evangelical Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Briarcrest Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
