On Tuesday, Paul Public Charter International faced KIPP College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Paul Public Charter International Pirates narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the KIPP College Prep Panthers 71-68. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-57 back in December of 2024.

Paul Public Charter International's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quran Williams, who went 7 for 12 en route to 25 points. Another player making a difference was Nasir Rodgers, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points.

When it comes to explaining why KIPP College Prep lost, don't look at Kaden Butler. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. Elijah Butts was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Paul Public Charter International's record is now 8-6. As for KIPP College Prep, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7.
