Polytechnic is 2-8 against North Side since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Parrots will be playing at home against the Steers at 7:00 p.m. North Side took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Polytechnic, who comes in off a win.
Polytechnic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Wyatt a 34-0 shutout on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Parrots with their most commanding win of the season.

Angel Montenez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Isaiah Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and seven RBI. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Mathew Ruiz was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.
Polytechnic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .857. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, North Side lost 20-1 to Paschal on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Steers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.
The win made it two in a row for Polytechnic and bumps their season record up to 7-13-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.
Polytechnic couldn't quite get it done against North Side when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Parrots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
